What is a prepaid card?
It’s like a debit card but it is loaded to a predefined amount and can be re-loaded as and when required.
You will only be able to make purchases with the card when there are sufficient funds on your direct payments prepayment card and you will not be able to spend more than this amount.
The prepaid card works just like any other bank debit card.
I have collected my prepaid card, now what do I do?
Using the card is very simple. However, before you start using the card you must do the following:
Sign the signature strip on the reverse of the card.
Load the card with the minimum amount, which is 8900 HUF. 3900 HUF is the one time card fee, so 5000 HUF will be available on your card after loading.
Activate the prepaid card and receive your PIN using the SMS or the IVR service (Interactive Voice Response). Please note that the service is available only in english.

After giving your card number you have to give your date of birth. For example if you born on the 5th of June of 1992, you should write as 050692. (In case of anonymous cards please use the following date of birth: 1988. 08. 08., if you have not registered yet.)
Please note that you can activate maximum 3 prepaid cards from the same phone number!
Why should I register the card?
You can reach the Cardholder Portal via this link. Here you can check your balance, track your transactions and manage the card functions.
There are additional advantages when you register: you can reload your prepaid card at any time not just with cash but online with bankcard and use it up to EUR 2.500/year, but you can spend and load EUR 250 at once!

What does upgrade mean and what are the cardholder identification “levels”?
At OMV petrol stations we provide you the card in -an instant issue pack which means there is no need for identification. With Instant Issued, you can use your prepaid card up to EUR 150 and cannot reload. Please note you can use your card only in Hungary and only at physical points!
But you can upgrade your card any time!
When you register your card the card state changes to SDD (Simplified Due Diligence) level, which means you can reload your card and use it up to EUR 2.500 (in a year), but you can only spend and load EUR 250 at once!
For the SDD we ask you to provide your name, e-mail address, date of birth and your mobile number.
The third and final level is the KYC (Know Your Customer) which means we fully identify you as you need to send your ID for us.
You can send your ID (and a proof of address) through the Cardholder Portal. You need to take a picture from your ID (both sides) with your mobile (or as scanned) and upload it. With KYC you have access to card-to-card transactions and the yearly maximum limit is EUR 15.000.
What is Cardholder Portal?
Cardholder Portal (CP) is an easy-to-use web based, card management interface which is accessible from any web browser (including mobile versions). Here you can manage your card, track your transactions, load your card, send money to another Festipay Prepaid card, disable it, register a debit/credit card etc.
Most of the CP functions are available through SMS.
What is Festipay Reload Network?
A domestic network for cash loads and the first partner is OMV. You can load your card with cash and bankcard at all the OMV petrol stations. We continuously expand this network with additional partners and new features.
What are the reload options?
You can reload your Festipay Prepaid card with cash and bankcard at on our Festipay Reload Network. You just need to got to the cashier ask for a reload, give your card and the desired amount of cash or your bankcard and we immediately load your Festipay Prepaid card.
You can reload your card through the Cardholder Portal (CP) with your bankcard and bank transfer. In case of bank transfer do not forget to indicate your reference number, found in the Cardholder Portal.
How can I use the SMS service?
Please send the following commands to the +36-70-717-7197 phone number if you wish to use the SMS service:
Balance check: Balance<space><last 4 digits of your card number>
Lock the card: Lock<space><last 4 digits of your card number>
Unlock the card: Unlock<space><last 4 digits of your card number>
Does it have a credit limit?
No, it’s not a credit card and carries no credit limit. You cannot spend more money than is held on the card account.
How do I get help if I have questions about my card?
If you have questions related to your card visit the getaprepaid.com website or call the customer services team on the phone number listed on the reverse of your card.
Are there any fees for using my card?
There are fees to the cardholder for making purchases or using the card online, at a shop or via the phone. You can find the exact fees here.
Can I change the pin assigned to me?
Unfortunately no, this is a secure PIN, generated by the system. You can reset your PIN, but you can’t choose a PIN what you like.
I have forgotten/lost my pin number, what do I do?
If you have forgotten or lost your PIN or believe its security has been compromised, please send an SMS to +36 7071 77197 using the command PIN <Last 8 digits of card number> to retrieve your PIN or call the customer service number on the reverse of the card to have your card cancelled.
What should I do if my card is lost or stolen?
If your card has been lost or stolen you must inform Festipay immediately on +36 1 346 05 03 the Customer Services number is located on the back of the card.
How long will it take to replace the card?
It normally takes 10 working days.
What happens if I change my address?
You must notify us immediately at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Does my card ever expire?
Yes, you can find the expiry date on the front of your card. If our card is about to expire, and is still active, please contact us if you have not received a new card. Any balance remaining on the card will be transferred to the new one before it’s despatched to you.
In case of anonymous cards after the expiration-date we can transfer your money back. You just have to come to our office, to the address: 1135 Budapest, Reitter Ferenc utca 46-48, 2nd floor.
What happens if I no longer want to use my prepaid card?
If you wish to cancel your prepaid card or no longer wish to use it then contact Festipay at email@example.com.
Is the card safe and secure to use?
As with all credit and debit cards you use, every precaution needs to be taken to keep the card safe and your PIN secure. Please refer to the Cardholders terms and conditions. The prepaid card aims to reduce the need to carry or hold large amounts of cash.
What if the amount of my purchase is more than my available balance?
In this case, your purchase will be declined. You will have to wait until your card is reloaded.
What if I have a problem with my card?
If you have a query about the card itself or you have an unknown transaction on your card account or a transaction has been declined but you still have funds on your card account then please call the PFS customer service team on +36 1 346 05 03 or contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
What is the cost of using a Prepaid card?
Fees to the cardholder are included in the terms and conditions.
Can I pay money directly to a bank account from a prepaid card?
No, prepaid cards are not to be used to pay direct to bank accounts.
